Sitting in that chair too long?

Are you tight in the hips and tuckus? How about a simple asana you can do at your desk that will help open up your hips, and loosen the outer legs, and sides of that tuckus? Sitting in your chair with your back straight (shoulders above hips and ears above shoulders) firmly root your feet into the ground. Place your your hands on your knees. Do some breathing here if you would like, I know I do!

Gently cross your right ankle over your left knee, making a figure 4 with your legs. Keep your right foot flexed and place your hands on your knee and ankle.

Do you feel that stretch down the side of your right leg? If not, you can gently place pressure on your right thigh to add to the stretch. Hold for 10 deep breaths and release. Switch to the other side. Enjoy! -Desk Dwelling Yogi
